At the core of Dipix expertise is a unique, non-contact 3D colour imaging system that provides accurate size, shape, and colour information on randomly-oriented, fast-moving products. Every product is identified, analyzed and, if it doesn't conform to a set of pre-existing parameters, is individually rejected from the product stream.
Generating product data
The systems are so sensitive that not only can they reject a non-standard product but they can identify and record the number of borderline cases. As the systems are live, information is immediately available to operators and if, for example, too many borderline items are being produced, adjustments such as a change in oven temperature can be made, in order to maintain production standards. Our systems track oven start-ups, production changes and shift changeovers, so trends relating to rejects can be identified.
Reducing human error
Dipix inspection systems can also be linked electronically to the process equipment, enabling adjustments to be carried out automatically.
